Dinner & Bible Study & Open Discussion:
Everyone should get their food and then sit in the meeting area. The coaches will lead a group Bible study covering the passage being studied that week. They will ask quizzers to read a verse and move to the next quizzer until the passage has been read. It is then a discussion among coaches and quizzers about what was written, how it applies at the time it was written, and how it applies today. Highlight required verses in scripture booklets.
6:30 to 7:45pm
Bible Quiz Activities: The coaches will pick various quiz activities to do
- Group speed quizzing
- Team vs Team Quizzing.
- Review of take-home assignments.
- Hand out puzzles based upon the assigned material.
- Question writing exercises.
- Training on the rules, challenges, appeals, etc.
7:45 to 8:00pm
Speed Memorization:
The coach will pick one easy verse that all quizzers must memorize before they are dismissed. The coach will start from left (or right) and ask each quizzer to recite the verse word perfect with reference. As soon as they make a mistake the coach will move to the next quizzer. Quizzers will use their booklets to study until it is their turn. Around and around this goes. When a quizzer recites the verse correctly with reference, they are dismissed and can go home or stay for fellowship.
